Chkalov: Vancouver USA's Russian Hero

The story of Russia's top daredevil pilot of the 1930s, who completed a record-breaking first transpolar flight. He left Moscow on June 18, 1937 and 'accidentally' landed in Vancouver, WA over 63 hours later. An early Stalin favorite, his refusal to 'follow the rules'--in flight and in society--cost him his life.
