Chloe McKenna of Charming Forge: Chocolate and Biscuits Aug 12, 2008
By Joyce Lokitus Just purchased three copies of this enjoyable book as gifts. It is such a sweet story, a delicious recipe, and an easy read for the little ones. What a nice way to share a special southern tradition with a whole new generation. Nancy Ann Rice is a gifted children's writer with a knack for combining reading and baking into a fun experience.
A sweet and charming book Sep 30, 2007
By L. G. Pierce This little book brings back memories of my Mother's kitchen on a cool morning. I loved the smell of fresh biscuits cooking and every once in a while we had "chocolate and biscuits." Enjoy the book and the recipes are a bonus!!!
From Coast to Coast Aug 24, 2007
By Sunny K. Brewer I have lived many different places and have only met a few people that are originally from the south who remember having chocolate and biscuits. What a great book to bring children and their parent or parents into the kitchen and spend quality time working together and spending time with each other. If you have not had the wonderful opportunity of enjoying chocolate and biscuits, there is no better time than the present! This book and the recipe inside is a great way to build a relationship with your children and grandchildren that neither one of you will ever forget.
Meaningful Moments - Aug 05, 2007
By R. Robinson An adorable book about the everyday pleasures of life! Rice highlights the understanding that one of the most meaningful things you will ever do in life is spend one-on-one time with a child. Well written. It will make you long for your next grandchild's visit so you also can make chocolate and biscuits with her/him.

By A. Kramer This a wonderful story about the special bond formed between parent and child during everyday activities. It serves as an excellent example of how parents can teach skills and family values when they invite their children to work along side them. Beloved rituals leave lasting memories that can have a positive effect on childrens' personalities.
"Chloe McKenna of Charming Forge" leaves the reader longing for more stories about Chloe and her childhood adventures.
