4Code Name Honey Pot  Apr 26, 2008
A thinking-person's thriller, great military detail without being Clancey-esque "techno-porn." What makes it especially compelling is that it could be happening now, or very soon! Great first effort from Captain Wander, will look forward to hearing more from him.

2Code Name: Honey Pot  Apr 09, 2008
The best part of this work was finishing it, and that was done in fits and starts. I probably would not have done so, but I did not wish to completely regret having purchased the book by tossing it aside. I ordered it after reading a glowing recommendation by a well known radio talk show host. It reads like a sophomore year high school essay and, worse yet, the reader is put in the position of a parent reading the story before the teacher receives it and bleeds red ink all over it. The work an assault on our intelligence with its unbelievably bad editing and is rife with typographical and grammatical errors. I found the story line simplistic and stumbling, and the ridiculous ending justified my initial desire to shelve it or put in our local library's used book sale. While I do not, in theory, disagree wholly with the premise of good versus evil in the book, I felt the story could have been better handled by an able writer. Mr. Wander should not quit his day job.

4Content on the money  Apr 05, 2008
While the book has some first effort feel, the content which depicts some very real threats is right on the money. The writer shows contempt for the shadowy government figure who acts with complete autonomy, but I believe this character is part of the problem with the U.S. government's politically correct approach to the problem.. Efforts like those of the shawody character should be less covert and more ethical. I would read a second effort by Mr. Wander. I would suggest Daniel Silva and Brad Thor for similiar fictional content. As Mr. Wander suggests Robert Spencer is knowlable in non-fictional material.

5A completely enjoyable experience  Mar 21, 2008
This book was a joy to read. The author is a talent in the making in my opinion.
Mr. Wander didn't just write a story, he wove it into an intricate tapestry. For days after turning the last page, I found myself reflecting on the negatives and the positives that the fictional plot would have in our real world.
Handing it to my husband, it was a "you have to read this one" recommendation.

5Fast, Exciting Read - Great!!!  Mar 12, 2008
I'm an old Navy Helo pilot and this book brought back some great old memories. The story is exciting, touching, sad, and disturbing all at the same time. It brought up all kinds of emotions in me. The author did a great job for a first novel. Looking forward to other works by him.
Go Navy!!
