5ONE OF THE BEST! SHOULD BE ON OPRAH'S BOOK CLUB!  Oct 13, 2007
Truly absorbing! I have read a lot of books, and "Color Him Father" ranks right up there with the best. This book is an important leaf in the learning tree of African-American history. I highly recommend it. There's also a nice video clip about Norm Bass on YouTube called "Who Is Norm Bass?"

5Color Him Father: An American Journey of Hope and Redemption  Sep 06, 2007

A brutally honest biography. A look at the world of professional sports,
a history lesson, a pop culture quiz, racism, the father/son relationship,
and a personal confession. You will laugh, you will cry, you will love it.
