This is the book I should have had when my company moved to Commvault for our backup solution. The explanations on how storage policies work in conjunction with aux copy operations and schedule policies are paramount for using the software on its most basic level. The author discusses other features of Commvault which make it so powerful as a backup solution and goes further by discussing best practices and demonstrating through many real world examples. The author also discusses how the business itself, the retention needs of your companies' business areas should define your storage policies.If you can't afford formal Commvault training, at least pick this one up for your library.

If you wish to take advantage of Commvault and the possibilities of storage policies I would recommend getting this book...

I have been using Commvault for over a year now and wish I had this book earlier - particilarly since the concepts between backup exec is significantly different - I used backup exec for a number of years.

If you are a system admin using or contemplating commvault the examples section will be a significant benefit.
