Communitarian Ethics: Later Writings of Walter G. Muelder

This is a collection of previously unpublished essays on a variety of contemporary social and church-related topics by a founder of the discipline of social ethics, Walter G. Muelder. The editor, J. Philip Wogaman, one of Muelder's most outstanding students and an acclaimed social ethicist in his own right, compiled the collection and contributes a brief context for each essay. He concludes the volume with an insightful reflection on Muelder's broader significance and the outlook for social ethics 'beyond Muelder.'

4An Excellent Collection  Dec 29, 2007
By Dorothy Higdon "MRead"
This book was a gift given to my Husband for Christmas. He was a student of Walter Muelder at Boston University. This is his review.
An excellent collection of Walter Muelder's thoughts on contemparary social issues in the form of short essays. The introductions for each essay by eidtor J. Philip Wogaman gives the historical setting as well as the significance for today.
The first chapter on "The Meaning of Nonresistance" provides direction for our national and personal lives. This was an excellect gift for Christmas.

5Communitarian Ethics  Sep 22, 2011
By Jin
Wogaman is one of the best scholars in the field of Christian Ethics.
And, he is the best student of Dr. Muelder.
Specifically, I found their connection between Dr. Muelder and Dr. Wogaman as a teacher and as a student.
This book is great for me.
If you have a concern about Boston Personalism, I think this book will be helpful.
