Confluence, Love and Adventure in the American West Sep 04, 2003
By Jani Brooks, Romance Reviews Today CONFLUENCE, subtitled Love and Adventure in the American West, is a multi-dimensional novel. Ms. Morgan's obvious love of the land is demonstrated by her beautifully written, visually realistic descriptions of the desert, the mountains, and the flora that the hikers come upon. Each character is also well drawn, especially Shari, with whom many readers will relate . . . . A deeply introspective tale told in the first person, CONFLUENCE is well written, with believable characters and the incredible wild backdrop of Canyonlands National Park.Jani Brooks Romance Reviews Today

Don't miss this one. Aug 17, 2003
By Martin J. Stab `Confluence' by: Susan Morgan Reviewed by: A writer/author NYC, NY (visit: martinstab.com) Don't miss this one: Though I am not a heavy reader of romance, thanks to Susan Morgan I may now have become one. Ms. Morgan's debut novel not only shows a great deal about Utah and Montana desert hiking/backpacking in splendid vivacious style, interwoven is a beautifully written and intriguing love story, which becomes a strong testament to her superb talents as an author. How refreshing to see well-written and edited work, which the reading public can really enjoy. Morgan's writing talent becomes evident in the novel's first few pages. For me, it's difficult to believe that `Confluence' was not her own story...possibly a memoir of a decent loving human being with a torn heart. Her main characters were developed so well, I felt that I really got to know them and it helped make her story even more believable. In the beginning I had strong reservations about the author writing her story entirely in first person, but after becoming accustomed to her style...I realized it works out to her advantage and in my mind she did it so well, it again made it difficult to believe it was not she herself she wrote about all along.

Morgan is the bomb! Aug 08, 2003
I Live in the city. This book is a really great escape to wilderness. Morgan makes you think about things that certainly are not in my day to day life but very important to the world. There should be more stories like this.
