A Pretty Darn Good CookBook -- Full of Midwestern Favorites! Feb 06, 2009
By Sarah A. Landicho I grew up on some of these recipes, and they're simply delicious! They're also accessible. Even though a few of the names of the recipes sound daunting -- Braised Lamb Shank or Chicken a l'Orange -- they're really quite simple to make. And that's what cooking is about in my kitchen -- simple and delicious! Mr. Lawnicki's stories are entertaining as well. All in all, it's a really fun cookbook.

By Theresa Thoma I saw him on our local TV news show. He was so funny and he had great recipes. I will be using a few of them again this holiday season.
Cooking With a Laugh & A Martini - cookbook Apr 24, 2009

This is a 'verbally animated' cookbook with much humor and also some terrific recipes and cooking tips; it certainly doesn't hurt that I went to high school with the author. Still a personal favorite on my cookbook shelf!
