A "must" for any performer! Jul 24, 2010
By actingdrea As a performer and instructor of acting and public speaking, I have found Ms. Bahmann's book engaging and informative on the subject of performance anxiety. Through many entertaining stories from celebrities, such as Maria Callas and Laurence Olivier, to the average individual giving a staff presentation, she demonstrates that this condition strikes without warning. Not only does she let the reader know they are not alone in their fight with the "beast", as she so aptly calls it, but discusses the many deep rooted causes for this anxiety, and includes a wide range of simple exercises and techniques for dealing with this challenge. From the seasoned performer to the beginner, from the musician to the public speaker to the actor, this book is for all.
