An Artful Lesson Based on a Commandment Apr 12, 2006
By Patti Writing this book was a joy. My mother taught us French by speaking it in our home while we were growing up. My daughter studied French and lived in France for a short while. We take our French roots seriously. My Aunt Corrine Saucier wrote all of her books in French. It was with great pleasure that I joined gifts with my daughter to create Coute le Lu Lu, a phrase my mother used when trying to get us to go to sleep. This book teaches a lesson from one of the ten commandments. A young Cajun girl must decide if she can take pecans from a tree that doesn't belong to her. The larger lessons of The Golden Rule loom over the pages of this artful teaching. I hope readers of all ages will enjoy this, my first children's book. Happy Reading!
