WOW, Thank you!! Dec 20, 2005 WOW, Did you write this book about me? I couldn't put the book down, I was happily amazed that I am not the only one in the world going through a divorce and feeling crazy. I believe that Joan is within us all, but we need to take the time to listen to her. We are Crazy when we hear her voice and don't take her advice, because all she/he/it wants for us is to be happy and fulfill our true destiny. This was an amazing book and I am proud to say my best friend, Robin was not only part of the editing process but also sent me the book to read, Thank you, Robin and Thank you, Ms. Gabriel for writing it.

goddess club member Nov 18, 2005 Having had the experience of a divorce in my 40's after a long marriage, this journey with Catherine Gabriel was not only familiar but rewarding. I would have longed to have had Joan as my personal trainer in adjusting to a new life. This author shows how honesty, intellect and a sense of humor can even out the bumps in lifes road. She's not crazy, just a joy to read. This is an easy read, without the heavyness of the subject. Be prepared for self reflection, uplifting your mood, and to forever be changed in your outlook of a goddess.

A New "Peaceful Warrior" Nov 13, 2005 This book and it's messages are on par (albeit a feminine aspect of) with "The Peaceful Warrior" that was published many years ago. It is an insightful, sometimes humorous, story that is is very hard to put down.
It's a remarkable book that reveals Catherine Gabriel's wonderful talents as a writer, especially since it is her first published piece.
I recommend this book to anyone who has ever experienced self doubts, emotional hurts, or wonders just what it takes for a peaceful existence... which is probably just about everyone.

A witty, inspiring read Nov 11, 2005 Tess is stuck in a rut. At age 45, her body has started to go south, her dead-end job barely pays the bills and she's still obsessed with her ex-husband who her dumped her for a teenage bimbette. To make matters worse, Tess fears she's going crazy.
Why else would a strange, overweight, middle-aged woman keep popping in and out of her living room, seemingly out of thin air? The stranger calls herself Joan, proclaims she's Tess's trainer and proceeds to make herself comfortable, befriending Tess' cat and drinking Tess's coffee.
"You and I are going to work together," Joan tells Tess.
"What if I don't want to work on anything?" Tess responds.
"You must want to work on something, or I wouldn't be here."
Suspicious of Joan and her own sanity, but still intrigued, Tess begins her "training," undertaking a voyage of a self-discovery and spiritual awakening that proves that the most worthwhile journey begins not with a single step, but with the courage to look within.
Author Catherine Gabriel writes cleverly with wit and compassion of the challenges and opportunities facing a woman at mid-life. "Crazy: One Goddess's Journey," is a humorous quick read that can be enjoyed as a work of fiction or for its wisdom and inspiration. This is a book that not only will make you smile and laugh as you read it, but also will leave you with a lasting impression.
