This books is pretty much source code in a text format. Not very informational.

1Waste of money and time  Oct 06, 2011
By Alin Mazilu
You know... I have spent my money on some stupid stuff in the past and I always found a good enough explanation for it, at the time, so that I wouldn't feel like a complete idiot about myself. Hey! I've even made some stupid investments in my Roth IRA account that I lost about half its worth, but if there was ever a time when I lost some money and I couldn't get anything out of the experience, buying this book is it.

This is not a book. This is not even a freshman year assignment done the night before it was due. It's just a bunch of stuff thrown in there to fill the pages. 90% of it is just code, copied and pasted from MS Access, and it's code in Times New Roman italic -- try to read that as a programmer. There is no explanation why things are done the way they are done. And the very few sentences that are in this "book" are in the worst grammar ever. Every noun is in singular form. "Crystal Report" instead of "Crystal Reports," etc. In this respect, I don't think this "book" had some kind of revision, as a serious book would have. On page 6 you have heading I.7 "Financial Repots" and then you have "There are three kinds of reports that needed by management to analyst the company financial conditions:" Come on! You are asking people to pay $30 for this "book!" Can't you at least take the time to correct the misspellings and the grammar?!

I bought this book in the hopes that I could learn some new ideas to use in my project. It turns out I can't even use it for toilet paper.

Do yourself a favor and don't buy this book. There was no valuable idea behind publishing it, other than perhaps the author trying to make some cash with minimal work.

4The interesting book.  Dec 09, 2006

This book is very interesting. I found the source code in this book is applicable.
