A Guilty Pleasure. Great Escapist Entertainment. Apr 21, 2008
By M. Thornbrough John Steele is one of the great Smart Alec's of our time. I laughed out loud at some of the outrageous things he says and does in this enjoyable tale. I really enjoyed the quickly moving story that kept you wondering what's going to happen next. The characters were great and the story always keeps you wondering who are the "good" guys and who are the "bad" guys. Some times it's a fine line. Once the adventure was on, I didn't want to put down the book. great read.

When's the next book coming out? Apr 25, 2008
By TazPRNTS A great new take on the world of vampires. It was hard to put down. The characters and plot just pull you in and the attention to details of the many locations visited by the characters adds a realism not found in many vampire books. There were times while reading the book I found myself laughing out loud. Highly recommend for new and old vampire enthusiasts.

Perfect Summer Read May 29, 2008
By K. Hamilton Death By The Drop is a great Summer novel; a quick & easy read that is perfect for a long weekend get away. It is fast paced, with your emotions changing quickly - from initially feeling sorry for John when he catches his wife cheating on him, but then turning to laugh-out-loud humor as you follow John through all the crazy antics and shenanigans he gets himself into.
Mr. Massie pulls out all the stops ensuring this book is anti-traditional when you think of vampire novels... combining humor, wackiness, and touches of history to keep you hooked all the way through.

death by the drop May 14, 2008
By Luci Giannone Death by the Drop is probably one of the most enjoyable books I've read in awhile. Since I've been to New Orleans five times throughout the years and following John Steele through the streets of that city, made my heart yearn to go back. Tim has a knack for making you feel like you're there, at least for this reader! I thought it was a very well written story with colorful characters, but Tim's sense of humor is what kept pulling me back into this crazy story of the undead. Part of the story that I personally related to was the relationship between John and Susan. At times when you get hurt by someone and revenge is the only thing on your mind, you'll find, that as time goes by and you realize that a huge favor was bestowed upon you by their leaving, life becomes wonderful again. Great job Tim!! I can't wait for the next installment.

A Good Read Jun 21, 2008
By Danville Reader This is the first vampire book I have read and I might have to try a few more. Death by the Drop is an enjoyable way to get acquanited with John Steele and his "family". The author's wealth of historical information was presented in a manner that was helpful to the reader (and to the book's hero, John Steele) without coming off as a boring lecture. The pacing of the book made it a great read.
