She was simply being sweet by boxing up a random collection of novels, stories and books for her grandfather. Admittedly, it was her intent to expand his literary awareness a little but she had no idea what a powder keg she had created. Contained within the box of books was both the end and the beginning of William “B24Bill” Voight; the end of his free time and the beginning of a passionate love affair with words. His fervor for writing poetry was brought on by reading the likes of Byron, Shelley, Keats and other poets of the 19th Century Romantic Revival. William has not been the same since. And quite frankly neither has his granddaughter. Her gift was returned with an inbox full of poetic thought born in the wee morning hours. A lifelong believer that one should always follow their passion, she concluded that he should be published. A collaborative labor of love has since taken place between them to make this collection of William’s poetry possible. They hope you enjoy it.
