Great book if your into kidnapping, torture, rape Oct 02, 2008 I personally love BDSM with an edge and enjoy the books by Joey Hill which are very well written and romantic. This is crap. Girl is kidnapped not by a romantic love interest but by a guy who starves her, beats and degrades her until she will do anything to improve her condition. He eventually 'takes' her. After training she is sold to an older guy and then both he, his guests and the hired help as well as his son. He likes to take her after his son has had her.
Son falls in love with her an in the last 3 pages of this book frees her from a sex show being broadcast on the internet where the guy who owns her sells it off to make money from the show. He sold his other slaves off to other owners to do more internet sex shows. Lovely.
The son marries her (very believeable) and they live happily ever after.
Not romantic, not sexy and IMO a lousy HEA.

Delicious to the core! Sep 11, 2004 I hate reading e-books. There's nothing worse than reading a book that's on your computer screen. I like to curl up with a nice hard or paperback. However, J.W. McKenna's Darkest Hour was worth it. This is one of the hottest BDSM novels I have read! Ellie Martinson awoke inside a dungeon where she is later subjected to all sorts of sexual torment by her secret captor. As days go by, Ellie is convinced that she will never be free, but hope is renewed when she encounters a new protector. Ellie may find freedom after all -- the only problem is that she no longer wants it. The pleasure she has received is something she'd never envisaged...
Darkest Hour is insatiable from beginning to end. This is one no-holds-barred BDSM novel! Ellora's Cave has once again pleased me (so to speak) with this erotic gem. J.W. McKenna (pseudonym?) has created sensual situations coupled with a compelling story. I couldn't get enough of this book. As said earlier, reading a book from my computer was well worth it. I cannot recommend this e-book enough...

Use Caution With This Book Jan 14, 2003 This book is definitely not for the faint of heart or those that are not into the more harsh BSDM writing. Ms McKenna takes no prisoners in writing this book.Ellie is kidnapped and force into the role of submissive. She is starved, whipped, and tied down until she learns that the only way for her to be comfortable is to do just what the Master wants. He is very thourgh in his training. Ellie is sold to a man she thinks will treat her well, but he is only interested in revenging himself on his dead wife through her. His son however is a different story. He fells in love with Ellie and most decided if he can defy his father and save Ellie. The story is well written and Ellie's character is quite believeable. It is amazing what human nature can sustain to survive.
