Dead Angel by Author John Clark is Delightful Apr 12, 2010
By Frank J.
"Frank J."
Author John Clark's Dead Angel is a masterpiece of storytelling. From the memories of his lasting friendship with iconic legend and American Rock star Jerry Garcia, Mr Clark weaves a warm and captivating account of Jerry from his childhood days to the beginnings of his ascendancy as a rock idol.
Clark is able to bring the beauty of their childhood and of their struggles as the two mature into adulthood in a delightfully charming way that brings the reader back to their own earlier years.
More than a trip down memory lane the book gives insight into Jerry Garcia's formative years and is invaluable to those seeking to understand the man behind the music as told by a friend who was with him from the beginning.
A great read. I enjoyed every page. You will be delighted by this book because of its warmth, sincerity and the author's beautiful writing style.
Fascinating read! Oct 31, 2011
By Montaukman I would never consider myself a "Dead Head," yet I was very intrigued by this well written book. Many books have been penned about Jerry Garcia. This one chronicles his youth and is penned by his best friend, Mr. Clark. Then the gears shift and the author sheds light on nefarious biker gangs. Thumbs up, an interesting ride indeed!
