deadly secrets is wonderful May 23, 2008

Some may find the Polly Pelman stories a bit twee. But they'd be missing the point that these are simple, well crafted tales of relativivley ordinary people living in the wonderful Welsh borders (where I live, by coinsidence). I usually read more gritty, some would say grim books but I really like the Polly character even if she is a bit of a psychic...it has helped out a few situations so don't knock it. Thrillers aren't all Hanibal Lector and offal. I'm onto Deadly Echoes now and will follow Polly to the end!!
Polly Pelman does it again! Jan 12, 2007

Patricia Sharpe's second Polly Pelman mystery is a ripper! We re-connect with Polly's family and some other extraordinary characters (you'll just love the Aboriginal woman!) in Australia and England. And then there's the clock!
Prepare yourself for a thrilling journey of intrigue, just a little mayhem and a tantalizing touch of the psychic - it's a fantastic ride.
