Deliver Us From Evil Apr 28, 2009
By Linda P. Kozar Deliver Us From Evil is an intricate suspense-filled trek into the dark world of the paranormal and occult. The main character begins life in an abusive home. Her mother mysteriously disappears and she is left to the dismal parenting of an alcoholic/abusive father. Though she has a caring aunt who seeks to rescue her, they just miss one another as the girl escapes after shooting her father when he storms into her bedroom. All this sets the stage for the main character to be lured into an occultic organization. At first she becomes a prisoner of circumstance and then, along with an innocent friend, the two become prisoners slated for human sacrifice in an ancient castle.
Faith and the still, small voice of God are woven throughout as the characters call upon Him for help and deliverance--from the evil that surrounds and seems to engulf them. And though at times, faith is scarce, the story proves that faith, even small as a mustard seed is mighty.
A Good Read Apr 08, 2009

"Author/Compiler"
Sometimes it's nice to sit with a book simply to enjoy a good story. That's what I got from Dee Smith's book, "Deliver Us from Evil." The villains weren't too over-the-top, and the protagonists weren't too sugary. A little more characterization would have helped the story, but I enjoyed the book.
