Arquette Poetry Feb 07, 2010
By Barbara Highfield
"Barbo"
Read this cover to cover or just pick one at a time and you'll laugh, cry and be amused. Arquette has a unique ability to be deep, funny and make you think twice about his topics. Just when you think you know what's coming, he puts a twist in the story that makes you want to read his next piece. A must read!
Great Book, A Must Read Oct 06, 2004
By Dustin Arquette
"Big D"
This is a great book filled with all kinds of memories that inspire the heart and mind. The poems within have a wide range of emotions from happy to sad. The ideas are vivid and the author always puts you right in the middle of the poem. I think my father did a wonderful job and I am so proud of him. I hope you all get a chance to buy and read this book. If I can get one person to buy this book and read "Squirell Fishing with Lefty and Iron Balls McGinty" my job is done.
Desire Driven to Words Aug 18, 2004
By Quentin Clingerman Worldly wise, and wise with words! Excellent characterization, superb descriptions. One feels the zest for life and the salty life Rusty lives! While I do not subscribe to the sex and profantiy (I just skip those poems if they get beyond my tolerance), his poetry is a delight to read and savor. You'll get caught up in the poignancy of "A Blue Texas Sky" or the earthy nostalgia of "A Footnote to Our Youth". And that is but a quick take on the reading pleasure before you.
