4A Fun Read  May 23, 2009
By L. Day "Lisa"
Dinner For Alex is a great pick if you like to laugh. The humor coupled with a solid friendship between a nutty steer and his crow companion will tickle it's readers fancy. The illustrations are so delightful that turning each page, watching this silly story unfold, make it even more enjoyable. Children will want to read this book over and over again.

5Alex is lots of fun!  May 05, 2009
By Book Lover Susie
DINNER FOR ALEX reminds of some of the books I used to read when I was young. It's fun (and funny!) but has a message without being preachy.
The illustrations are bright, colorful and gently surreal, almost like one of those old-fashioned cartoons.

I hope this turns into a series about Alex and Jacob.
