Society has always rebelled - in one way or another - at the prospect of paying for that which is not necessarily tactile. This is the first strike against a landlord. One thing for sure, becoming a landlord can make it possible for you to acquire an entirely new outlook on the human race. The average renter places far greater importance on such things as sex, drugs, clothes, automobiles, dogs, cats, finger painting and TV sit-coms - not necessarily in that order - rather than staunchly projecting that time-honored philosophy of "There's no place like home."
