Dispensational Doctrine and the 70 Weeks Prophecy

The text seems to be directed to the children of Israel according to the flesh so it is understandable that some would believe the promises applied to them. Paul hastens to correct this saying; the seed does not mean many descendents but only one which is Christ. They who may qualify to receive blessing has changed from a natural birthright to that which is spiritual by being born again. The new covenant in Christ has made the first one old and ready to vanish away.

5Review of Dispensational Doctrine and the Seventy Weeks Prophecy  Aug 14, 2008
By Martin J. Bracewell
This is the best definition of the Great Tribulation I have ever seen. John Bye has done exhaustive research using not only Biblical texts, but writings of several historians including Josephus, to put together a well-detailed view of Daniel's Seventy Weeks prophecy and its fulfillment. While it does not question Christ's iminent return, it proves scripturally as well as historically that many presumed future events have already taken place, and it clearly defines prophecy as it relates to the Church and the people of Israel.
