Family Bonds Sep 15, 2006
By S. Stevens I found this to be an intense story with characters who display amazing family unity, loyalty and devotion throughout a long, heart-wrenching experience. I felt real empathy for the family members who endured an ordeal that many would find overwhelming. You can't help but ask yourself, as the reader, "Would I be as strong as Jan, in protecting a loved one, if challenged in a similar way?"

By Rocket Man Jan Edwards' straight forward writing style adds a strong sense of realiity to her prior life's experience and to the credibility of her novel. Her intermingling of the heart rendering accounts of unbearable daily stress with the intrigue of surviving the evil machinations of criminal adversaries results in a very believable and gripping saga. "DOCTOR,PLEASE, I'M ALIVE!" is a first rate page turner.

A Nightmare! Feb 21, 2011
By Elaine Littau
"author of Nan's Journey, Elk's Resolve, Luke's Legacy & The Eyes of a Stranger"
There are few things more frightening than to be helpless at the hands of people who do not have your best interests at heart. The premise of Jan M. Edwards' book, "Doctor! Please, I'm Alive!" is the stuff of nightmares. It speaks to the fact that family members must pay careful attention to the care of their loved ones when they cannot speak for themselves. Even though this was a work of fiction, Ms. Edwards wove the story into a believable senerio. It was one of those books that had to be finished within two sittings. Good job! Suspenseful and heart-wrenching! Jun 03, 2010
By L. Brady A great story...the resilience in fighting for what's right; the drama playing out as the battle unfolds; as happy an ending as you could hope for considering the circumstances. Jan wrote a riveting tale, and it is hard to imagine what it would be like to go through that. An impressive family!
