This being number 2 in a series of 3, kept me as involved in the story as the first one !!!! What an adventure I had crawling into this one !!! I could even feel the warmth of the sand beneath my feet and the excitement of all the escapades that El Hakim and his buddies ventured into. I almost wanted to be the Princess !!!! An excellent read! Apr 25, 2006 What a delight it was to find that Marie Warder's latest book, "Samaritan of the Sahara", is now available. From the magnificent cover, with California artist Leigh van der Schyff's "Africa" painting, and the "Wildflower" rapier designed and custom made by James "The Just" of Arizona, to the last page, it draws one in. It re-introduces the reader to many of the wonderful characters from "When you know that you know that you know", twenty years later. Marie Warder is a great story spinner who has a vivid imagination, but every detail is checked meticulously. This is a tale of adventure, love, treachery, and God's love, set in a fascinating part of the world that I, for one, knew little about - The Sahara. An excellent read!

This is an amazing book! Apr 24, 2006 This is an amazing book and a must read. Marie Warder is a very talented author and makes her stories come alive.
This book was so descriptive that I felt as though I were right there with the characters. I had a very difficult time putting it down. I highly recommend it.

Well worth reading and highly recommended. Feb 28, 2006 "Following the success of her South African novel, 'Tarnished Idols', Marie Warder has gone to the other end of Africa for the setting of her new one, 'Samaritan of the Sahara'. Mrs. Warder's romantic imagination and facile pen provide plenty of local colour and she captures the reader's attention from start to finish. Well worth reading and highly recommended."

Can't wait for the next one! Feb 26, 2006 Posted with permission of the reviewer.
Marie Warder is an amazingly detail-oriented historian, and a wonderful teacher! Her book of fiction is so good, that she has actually been asked if it was based on a real situation. Dominic Verwey-Samaritan of the Sahara is a labour of love, written about love, and is permeated by the unwavering truth of God's love. This continuing story, begun with Ben Ashton's struggles in When You Know That You Know That You Know, moves some 20 years ahead, weaving memories, a tale of selfless caring, and the victory of good over evil, into an swashbuckling read that was hard to put down. I look forward to Marie Warder's next blockbuster!
