Don't be a Mule. 100% recommended. Nov 12, 2009
By YA Book Reader
"YA Book reader"
David Bakke has got the timing perfect for the release of this much needed book. When you read it you realize that it makes perfect sense, when you put his ideas into action you see it for yourself.
I have read many of the `How to get Rich' books, this is unlike them. It actually prevents you from being poor, or paying out huge amounts for things we don't need to.
The big advantage this book has over any other I have read is that it is written in a language you can understand. You don't need to be a financial advisor or `Whizz Kid' on `Wall street' to grasp the concept. Some of it are very humorous but carry an important life learning message.
If you need to erase credit card debt, save money on bills, save money on groceries, save money on gas, get free credit reports, increase you income, make more money at work, plus frugal living tips in a nutshell; This is the only book you will need.
If you or you know someone who is having a few financial problems or you just want your money to go a little further, you need to get the book now. I have given it to my brother as an additional wedding gift, considering 30% of marriages end in divorce due to finances; this should be a compulsive read for all newlyweds. I hope it helps him as much as it does me.

Down to earth, well-written Nov 22, 2009

A well-written book that shows us few pointers in our lives how we can cope, cut-back, and come out ahead. With a huge dash of common sense in how to reduce monetary waste in our life, this is a book anyone can apply to their everyday life pointing out really where we day after day tend to "blow" our bucks - and shows just how much it can add up.
Whole-heartedly recommend this book to those who need a little reinforcement in their life - especially in these times when everyone is making cutbacks.

A Great Start! Nov 21, 2009
By Mary This book was really intriguing because of its title. The author doesn't take long before explaining himself. What he means by the title is that there are a lot of big things, but also a lot of little things that we can do in our lvies that will keep us from unnecessarily wasting our hard earned money.
It is a quick read, written in a familiar down-to-earth voice that anyone can understand. Packed with great advice, I think this book could help just about anyone looking to "fix their finances". A Big thumbs up!!!

Great advice for anyone! Nov 14, 2009

I just got this in the mail the other day and have already started using some of David's advice to get in a better financial position. David's book shows you how to protect your hard earned money as well as to use it wisely. His stories of how he uses his savings tactics are useful and engaging. The book is an easy read - anyone can do what David has done - it's written for the average Joe or Josephine.

Great money saving book to get through this difficult economic time! Nov 13, 2009

"Don't Be a Mule" is a fantastic book.
Within just 200 pages David Bakke provides a wealth of tips, tools, and techniques to save you money and helps a person shift their mindset in order to become more financially free. One quote from the book I love is this: "Did you know that fixing or fine-tuning your finances has very little to do with how much money you actually make, and much more to do with your mental outlook and your particular thoughts about money?" As a coach one of the things I do is help people shift their mindset so they can more powerfully take back control of every area of their life in order to achieve their personal and professional goals and dreams. That quote perfectly sums up the first step you need to take to improve the money area of your life. Once you have the right mindset in place, managing your money becomes less stressful and actually enjoyable over time!
I would highly recommend that financial planners, accountants, CPAs, and coaches all over the world give this book to their clients as a gift. Your clients will love you and you will helping to change the world one person at a time.
