Don't Just Show Up for the Party...Take Home the Gift!

For many children, receiving presents is the best part of celebrating a birthday. They wouldn’t dream of leaving their gifts behind at the end of a birthday party. This book encourages readers to think about church in the same way. While we enjoy getting dressed up, singing songs, and spending time with our church family, those are not the most important components of church attendance. The sacrifice made by Jesus Christ is one gift we cannot afford to leave behind. Don’t Just Show Up for the Party, TAKE HOME THE GIFT! will open doors to share the message of salvation, God’s most amazing gift that is free for the taking.

Great little book. Share with your kids, all will get this message because of the way it is presented.

5A Gift for those of us trying to explain the difference between a Christian and a churchgoer  Oct 12, 2008
By Jay Moore
This is a quick read that delivers a powerful message. It is written and illustrated as a children's book, but clearly there is a message for adult readers as well.

Attending church is not the same as being a Christian, and the birthday present analogy makes that clear in a very eloquent way. Great book.
