Great Learning Tool Sep 21, 2010
By DM I am so excited about this book. I bought this book in the spring for my grandson that was in kingergarten at the time. He was so excited about it that he took some paper and colored pencils and sat down with the book and started drawing. It has been a great tool for learning his alphabet, learning to read and refining his motor skills. I shared the book with his kindergarten teacher and she started using it in the classroom and the response from the kids was overwhelmingly positive.

Not at all Disappointed Apr 29, 2010
By Benjamin A. Larrow It was extremely helpful to have objects for all 26 letters and letter sounds in one, compact little book. Our son went beyond drawing the pictures to learning the letter names, letter sounds, and spelling the words. It was worth more to us than $12.00! We even corresponded with the author for help with the next steps to take, since the e-mail address is included in the book.

My Summer Helper Aug 10, 2009
By J. Schuminski Hooray! I finally found a resource to help my kindergartener practice strengthening his fine motor skills. He resisted printing letters, but he liked drawing the pictures in this book. As was suggested in the book, I wrote down his words about the pictures he drew. Now, he is willing to copy the words that I wrote down for him. He is getting more interested in writing because he is producing his own "stories".
Our 4 ½ year-old daughter is also interested in drawing the pictures. Our son has assumed the role of "teacher", helping to guide his sister through the sequential steps. The role of leader has increased his self-esteem. This book has been a great help over the summer; we packed it with lots of drawing materials whenever we traveled. We always had something educational and entertaining for the kids to do. Thanks for offering this book for sale!

Wonderful book! Jul 06, 2009

My kindergarten teaching partner and I loved this book. It was a great resource for us and helped encourage our students to draw and write. The children loved drawing the pictures as they followed an instructor's example. They would say, "Look at what I did!" Many of the students hadn't shown previous interest in drawing. They actually suprised themselves with what they could do! One child in particular, who could barely hold a crayon, has been highly motivated by the success he has experienced by doing these simple "do as I do" practices. This was a great discovery!

Highly Recommended! Oct 21, 2008
By AEL This book was part of my professional work and I loved it. Now that our twins are 5, I am using the same approach with them. It's a big hit! Our daughter got into it immediately since painting and drawing are her thing. Our son was reluctant at first, but after 3-4 sessions, he caught on to the procedure and is feeling more confident about his drawing. We are taking it to the next level and making up stories consisting of 1-2 sentences. The book provides the means for reviewing the alphabet and letter sounds, as well as recording and reading children's dictations. Note: The author's e-mail is active and helpful.
