5Great Book of Poetry and Anecdotes for all ages  Aug 05, 2010
By James R Dewey
I enjoyed reading D.A. Johnson's collection of anecdotes about life. This book of poetry has some real gems like the one about the boy in the wheel chair. D.A. Johnson has used her experiences in the classroom to produce a meaningful work sure to please children, as well as adults.

5POEMS FOR THE VERY YOUNG & THE YOUNG AT HEART  Aug 05, 2010
By irene brodsky
I had the pleasure of reviewing a very sweet and precious collection of poety for
young children and their parents/grandparents as well. This collection of poetry
is called "Dress Up" by D.A Johnson.

This book stands out from other works of poetry because it also includes illustrations.
These illustrations give the book a special touch of art. Years from now, children may
look at a picture in a museum and remember these illustrations in Ms. Johnson's book.
These memories could inspire children to become artists.

These poems could also serve as nice bedtime stories. Each of the poems have a different
theme which encourages questions & answers. Therefore, this book can also serve as an
educational tool.

As an educator, I recommend this book highly for the library. I am giving my copy of this
book to the landmark Grand Army Plaza Brooklyn Public Library for catalog consideration.

I truly enjoyed reviewing this book!
