East End Italian

The ethnic neighborhoods that formed America's cultural foundation were in transition during the early 1950s. The colorful vestiges of Old World tradition, language, and mores still clung to daily life even as it began its transformation into today's America. This little book collects a few of those uniquely transitional moments, recounting episodes of a young boy growing up American as an East End Italian.
