Easy Steps to Reading Lesson Plans

Easy Steps to Reading Lesson Plans, designed for use by teachers and parents, is a day-by-day set of instructions for teaching early reading and math skills to children of ages three to seven. Reading lessons, which utilize a simplified "inside out" approach, include methods and games for teaching consonants, vowels, blends and diphthongs, etc. They progress from the sounding of nonsense syllable and one-syllable words to multi-syllable words, and lessons include lists of about 20-30 words. Math lessons include suggestions and game ideas for teaching counting, addition and subtraction with numbers between 0 and 100, time-telling and counting money.

2not really for me  Nov 18, 2010

This book was recommended to me to help my daughter read, but when I browsed through it, it seems that it is meant for a teacher and a classroom. Not for a home setting, unless you have like 6 kids of the same age. I am going to return it and just work with her the old fashioned way.
