Ebenezer: The Claustrophobic Bee

At first glance, Ebenezer the Claustrophobic Bee appears to be just another cute children's story about an insect with issues. Ebenezer wants nothing more than to escape the confining life of a drone bee. He is befriended by a worker bee named Izabelle who agrees to help him find a job, and to ultimately get to leave the hive. Readers ages 7 to 77 will be entertained and educated as they learn about bees while following Ebenezer on his journey. Charmingly written and illustrated, Ebenezer will educate and convince even the most unlikely environmentalist of the importance of bees. Included in this delightful story is a basic glossary of bee terminology and fascinating bee facts. This is a must read for anyone with a budding interest in bees, nature, and our environment.

By Nathan J. Beckey "nathan beckey"
A unique blend of educational life science and elementary fiction that delivers an inspiring message for readers of all ages. You'll bee amazed a what you don't know about bees. The author uses vivid illustrations to aid the imagination while teaching interesting facts and terminology about bees. With the bold print and glossary of terms, any teacher could use this as a great tool to keep learning fun and interesting. After all, who knows that not all bees have stingers!

5Bee...sure to read this one!  Jan 27, 2009
By Susan Johnson "Sue Johnson (author, Grandloving: Making Memories with Your Grandchildren)"
This book has it all - a fun children's story about bees, an educational book for all ages about bees and their role in the environment to appeal to the green among us, and a meaningful moral, "...by working hard for your heart's desire, you can bee what you want to bee!." Educators will love the highlighted words keyed to the dictionary at the back of the book and all will learn from the Bee Facts also at the back. If we want to continue to eat well, we all should appreciate the admonition, "so, next time you see a honeybee, don't squish her...thank her instead!" Well done, Elizabeth, and we hope you will continue to write!

By A. Waits "Winding Road Academy"
This book, Ebenezer the Claustrophobic Bee, is written very well because it has lots of information about bees, and a story about the friendship of Ebenezer and Izabelle. The illustrations are colorful and funny. The book is one of the best books I have ever read. People of all ages will love this book! (Aidan - 8 year old)

5Fantastic Educational Book for All Ages  Nov 05, 2008
By Jay Shelton
The author clearly demonstrates her knowledge of the physiology of bees, and she writes clearly and entertainingly for children, yet this is a wonderful book for "older" kids of all ages. If you or your child has ever expressed interest about bees ("Mom, how do bees make honey?" "Dad, what are hives?") then this book will be a rewarding experience for you. Rarely is a children's book so incredibly educational. After reading, you'll have many questions answered about bees, and you'll find yourself re-reading for pure enjoyment!

5Great book for all ages!  Dec 10, 2009
By Rhonda D. Cruze "RhondaFanonda"
As human beings we tend to fear what we don't understand. No matter what your age, this book will educate, delight and give you a good understanding of bees, their lives and activities. This book is fascinating!
