Elijah's Wrath: The Triumvirate Series

New Release! Truly twisted and first in a series, Elijah's Wrath: The Triumvirate Series by Kevin Viola is masterly filled with psychological ploys, endless plot twists, and an unexpected final shock. Introducing three new characters to action-adventure whodunit fans, this novel proves to be a fast-paced read that is as wildly entertaining as it is deliciously disturbing. When straight-laced Frankie Oswald, the police chief of Philadelphia, is unable to get a break in a string of heinous child murder-kidnappings, he turns to retired comrade, playboy Fletcher Christian, for guidance. Old habits die hard and soon enough the two are thrust in a mysterious world of cryptic messages where the only clues come straight out of the Bible - specifically, single passages from the Prophet Elijah found on the victims' bodies. It isn't until Melanie Sanders, a clever mystery writer, joins the fray that headway is made. With their combined talents and insights, the City of Brotherly Love will have a chance to escape Elijah's Wrath. . .but can they handle the final, terrible truth. Can you? 4Elijah's Wrath Reviewed  Jul 25, 2008
By Santina S. Smith
The first thing I liked about the book was the James Patterson-like format. Short chapters where the author fed me the story in small, digestible bites; an approach that appealed to my personal reading-style appetite.

This book wasn't just an engrossing "Who-Done-It?", it was also an imaginative "Done-What?" as the true nature and full impact of the crimes weren't revealed until near the end (don't read ahead!).

The characters were all colorful and even the heroes and heroines had their share of personal flaws and imperfections, which just made them all the more real.

Viola provided a variety of possible suspects, and he did a masterful job of revealing just enough of the puzzle for me to be convinced who the true bad guys were, only to provide another puzzle piece a few pages later that convinced me it was someone else entirely. I thought I had it figured out about 4 or 5 times, and then still didn't get it right.

Original. Fast-paced. What a blast!

Wow! What a page turner! The novel is full of suspense that makes you want to keep reading late into the night! Full of mystery and intrigue, the ending is one you won't be able to guess! Mr. Viola has done justice with this first novel in the triumvirate series. When is the second one due out?? I can't wait to read it!
