Elijah's Wrath Reviewed Jul 25, 2008
By Santina S. Smith The first thing I liked about the book was the James Patterson-like format. Short chapters where the author fed me the story in small, digestible bites; an approach that appealed to my personal reading-style appetite.
This book wasn't just an engrossing "Who-Done-It?", it was also an imaginative "Done-What?" as the true nature and full impact of the crimes weren't revealed until near the end (don't read ahead!).
The characters were all colorful and even the heroes and heroines had their share of personal flaws and imperfections, which just made them all the more real.
Viola provided a variety of possible suspects, and he did a masterful job of revealing just enough of the puzzle for me to be convinced who the true bad guys were, only to provide another puzzle piece a few pages later that convinced me it was someone else entirely. I thought I had it figured out about 4 or 5 times, and then still didn't get it right.
Original. Fast-paced. What a blast!
Elijah's Wrath by Kevin Viola - What a page turner!! Jul 18, 2008
By Christine Casey Wow! What a page turner! The novel is full of suspense that makes you want to keep reading late into the night! Full of mystery and intrigue, the ending is one you won't be able to guess! Mr. Viola has done justice with this first novel in the triumvirate series. When is the second one due out?? I can't wait to read it!
