Steven Lacey was born in New York City in 1971, but asks that you not hold that against him. His family moved to New Jersey soon afterwards, and then moved to California when he was 7 – something else he hopes you won’t hold against him, either. He has since lived in Arizona, Minnesota, and South Carolina, and worked as the following: a dishwasher, a stockboy, a busboy, an arcade cashier, a computer-backup-tape tester, a memory card tester, a hardwood floor installer, a census bureau payroll clerk, a book researcher, and a grocery store overnight stock jockey – all mainly because he knew that he someday wanted to have a really cool authors bio with all kinds of wacky jobs listed. He currently works as a projectionist at a movie theater and lives in Charleston, South Carolina. This is his first book.
