4Helps you think like a law student before you start classes  Sep 28, 2009
By Jerry Mason
This book may give you a head start on your classmates before you step into a classroom. There are plenty of tips to help first year students. You can get a pretty decent idea of what to expect your first year and some basic exercises/examples to help you start thinking like a law student. What you will not get, however, is help with the LSAT, or help with selecting or getting in to law school. This book basically assumes you are already admitted to law school. So, if you are still wondering if law school is the right choice for you, you can get some insight into what it is like, but really this book is aimed at people who are definitely going to law school and just want a leg up on the competition.

5YOU need this book if you want to go to law school!!!  Feb 04, 2011
By Mr. Smith
I loved it cuz I had no idea what law school is like, and I plan on attending this fall. I don't know any lawyers, my dad isn't a lawyer nothin like that, so i was just goin off what i saw on law and order on TV. But this book definitely showed me what the academics are like in law school, and now I'm sure I wanna be there. It also gives awesome advice about deciding and good reasons for getting a law degree or not. and the author is really funny at times which makes the book not boring. If you think the LSAT is the most important part of goin to law school, well this book is just as important as logic games. it's actually way MORE important cuz you might decide law school is a bunch of hooey then you don't have to even take the LSAT!!! :)

5A Home Run  Sep 04, 2010
By Nick D.
I got my copy of "Everything You Need To Know Before Beginning Law School" this Summer and read it twice! I am now starting my fourth week at a fine law school. Studying Lord-Leutwyler's book not only served to ease my mind over the Summer, but gave me valuable insights on what to expect and how to prepare. I am certain that I would not be as comfortable today in school if it weren't for the advice the author gave me in this book. I am amazed at how many of my classmates, although very bright, are on edge and seem to be struggling to keep up. I can't help but think that they should have picked up a copy of Lord-Leutwylers treatise!

This is a MUST READ for any incoming law students.

5A MUST READ BEFORE LAW SCHOOL  Jun 26, 2010
By Rocco massari
After deciding where I was going to attend Law School, came the fear and realization of the challenge that I was tackling. This book was instrumental in putting those fears to rest. It covers everything from how to write a brief, how to read each case and what to look for in them to things like how to manage having a significant other during Law School. Prior to reading this, I had gotten a lot of advice from different people and it all seemed so extreme. Everything You Need to Know Before Beginning Law School even addresses the problem of dealing with what "they" say.

It also has a coupon code for a speed reading program that is invaluable for first year law students!

5GREAT BUY FOR FUTURE LAW STUDENTS!!  Jul 27, 2009
By R. Krametbauer
This book has made the transition from my undergraduate studies to graduate law studies less stressful with the author's "THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE BEGINNING LAW SCHOOL!" It was very comforting to read about the real-life experiences of current lawyers and the things they wish they had known during their law school years.
