Experiencing the Miraculous: A Gift of Grace (Anthology of Subud Stories)

In times of doubt and pessimism, when the old verities have been cast away and life appears to have no meaning and purpose, help does appear. It appeared in the first century with the coming of Christ and in the sixth century with the coming of the Prophet Muhammad. In even earlier times, the Buddha and the great Jewish prophets brought their messages of hope and moral certainty. Today, unknown to all but a few, help has again arrived to humanity. But not in the form of a person or a teaching. The help that is being offered today is in the form of a spiritual action that people can receive merely by asking. Once received, this spiritual action gradually repairs the inner content of a person, replacing what is wrong within that person with what is right. The writers of the stories in this book describe how they found this spiritual action called Subud and the powerful benefit that it has brought to their lives. In the Epilogue you will be told how to find out more about this spiritual action, should you be so inclined.

5Learning about the Subud path  May 29, 2009
This is a great anthology of individual accounts of how a diversity of poeple of all ages, religions, and nationalities have come to practise the latihan, the Subud spiritual practice. Good for people investigating Subud, or already doing the latihan.

5Wonderful  Jan 06, 2009
Those that buy this book over the next few years will likely already be Subud members and thus already aware of the importance and significance of the latihan and of Subud. So, this review is aimed more at Subud members. This book, for me, was the best book that I've read yet about Subud. It was wonderful to read so many different accounts of Subud members' experiences of the latihan and of the spiritual world. I believe there were 40 or so people who contributed their experiences. Some were only a page long and others were 4 or 5 pages long. Some of the experiences were truly amazing.

I should disclose my bias though...one of the editors is a relative and I too wrote of my experiences in this book.
