I wish I had known and learned from Fields myself. Dec 23, 2007
By Sandra Lipschultz Very engaging read. One feels very quickly as if they know Sunshine, and would definitely like her for a friend. But I am so jealous that I never got to know Fields personally. Of course his quotes will be with me for a long time --- perhaps forever. A few may even take the place of my heretofore favorite, Gildna Radner's "It's Always Something". If only at least a few of those "somethings" were as enjoyable as this book.

Field Notes: A Life Story Dec 18, 2007
By Ms. Phillips I thoroughly enjoyed Sheila Clapkin's book Field Notes: A Life Story. From the beginning it caught my interest and I had to fight not to read the ending. I enjoyed the way she told the story and how the characters lives intertwined throughout the book. I experienced a gamut of emotions throughout the book--happiness, sadness, grief, love, desire, etc. It was great. Would be a good movie.
