 Not for the average woman... Feb 26, 2008
I think this book is for someone that just doesnt use the computer well and needs hand holding getting started and there really arent the kinds of tips most of us want suggesting how to write ads, interview prospective dates, dealing with the steps taken during the dating process, and generally addressing fears.
These ladies are very pretty, making it easy for them to find success. For those who are not raving beauties we want to know how to find the kind of man that suits us and how to deal with some of the problems we have like not being a size 4 or 6 and under 30. Though there were no similar tips relative to young women either really. Obviously these two were successful but their field was much larger to choose from because of their appearance and age.
The book has the same information duplicated three times based on 3 skill levels, is written with very few words, and cartoons and pictures and duplications take up all the pages. Not that many words are necessary for a well written instruction manual, but I found VERY little content in this book worth the time to flip the pages.
If I could have given this book a zero, I would have.

This book is written for beginners and makes everything very simple. I enjoyed their suggestions. The only problem I had was when they offered a website that the authors hosted to help you, that the website does not have what the book says is available. Too bad, if it did, then it would be 5 stars.

A relative recommended this book to me & I found it to be very helpful. Some of the advice comes accross as common sense, but other parts fall under the "Why did I never think of this" umbrella. I found the sections that dealt with the Online photos the best, as most of mine uptil now were from my last vacation and not exclusively for an Online dating service.

The clever cartoon format makes this internet dating book irresistible! I am so visual that I could not put this book down once I started scanning the pages. Beth and Karin include clip art throughout "Finding Your Mate Online" to highlight helpful dating hints, author notes about their success stories and lessons learned and recommendations for when to catch your breath from all the dating activity. I highly recommend this quick, easy and entertaining read.

It wiped out my resistance Mar 03, 2006
I was so resistant to on line dating - kept throwing up obstacles - hiding fear AND embarassment. Saw the authors on tv and decided to try it. It's really great. Made me face myself and my obstacles and convinced me I can control the process and focus the search. I highly recommend this book if you're even thinking about dating -- by any method!
