Five Days in Babylon

A fast-paced plot with a sharp edge, Five Days in Babylon by P. L. Reiter proves to be a high-octane novel that blends action and adventure with science and technology in a timely thriller that exposes the roots of bio-terrorism. For Jack Stone, a down-on-his-luck alcoholic living on the shores of California's Salton Sea, there is no saying no to a Viet Nam War-era friend. When Jack is asked to track down and bring to justice one Maria Elena Castillo, a young, chic, and savvy Latina wanted for the murder of prominent biologist Dr. Richard Rockaway, he will have to pull his act together to tackle the assignment and succeed. With the exasperating voice in his head constantly badgering him, Jack searches for his target in a surprisingly dangerous eco-terrorist world where Maria may prove to be the only lifeline he has for his survival.

5A great escape!  Sep 20, 2011

Loved this book by Paul, it's a great ride! I happen to live in Southern California where the novel is set, and so I really liked reading about places that I already knew. It felt like I was really there! This is a story that could actually happen, which made it all the more believeable.

5enjoyed the ride!  Oct 17, 2008

I brought this and another book for a flight from LA to Russia. Once I started the journey I hung on and enjoyed the ride...

I was able to read it in one sitting and was able to visualize it as if I was watching the movie and in some cases as if I was there!

It was a fun read... good storyline, interesting characters and I had to laugh out loud a few times... damn good book man!

I live in Southern California and could visualize all of the settings. VERY realistic! Actually it was more believable then Da Vinci Code... E.L.F. vs Demons could make a good sequel...

I am really looking forward to your next work and strongly recommend this to others!!

5Thrilling page turner that leaves you waiting for the next book!  Jul 21, 2008

What a great book! The storyline is a scary thriller and leaves you wanting more. P.L. Reiter has successfully integrated a terrifying plot with real world links into a great story. The characters are interesting, deep, and have lots left to tell. I hope he is working on the next installment...Six Days in ?

5Five Days in Babylon  Jun 02, 2008

Paul Reiter's thriller, although fiction, presents an all too real and frightening scenario of how terrorists could severely disrupt this country. His in depth knowledge of the settings along with his research and character development are outstanding. I admit, when I picked up this book I weighed it, and it was heavy, but from the opening chapter on I was a captive until I had finished it.

I'm now waiting for the next installment!

5Wow.....what a find!!!!  May 20, 2008
By George K. Branton
Wow...what a find!!! This was an excellent book and it is hard to believe that it was P.L. Reiter's first novel. The writing is as crisp as any author that I have read and that is an extensive list. The book was definitely a page turner. The book was hard to put down because you just kept wanting to find out what was happening next. Each chapter left you hanging. There were a diverse set of characters and the usage of the geography was excellent. I hope this author catches on quickly with the public and is inspired to bring us more quality novels.
