Follow Me to the Beach combines a nice children's story with a realistic portrayal of off-road driving. Must have book for children with an interest in the out-of-doors and Jeeps!

I bought this book for my husband, a Jeep Wrangler enthusiast, to read to our soon-to-be-born son. He cried when he opened it on Christmas, but I was the one crying -- and not out of happiness -- when it arrived. I couldn't believe how flimsy it was for the price. My sadness intensified when I flipped through the book and noticed the typos and grammatical errors. I can't believe it got published, frankly -- the authors should have hired a proofreader. The only reasons it's getting any stars at all are the excellent illustration work and the subject matter.

The story is cute but it is a 7"x8" paperback book, approximately 1/4" thick. I was absolutely floored by the book volume. This book is equivalent to the $5 books that you can buy in the drugstore. Our family are jeep people and thought this book would be a great gift for our granddaughter because she loves her papa's jeep but the price charged is not worth it. It reminds me of the little Golden Books.
