Excellent book no matter the mood Oct 09, 2006 no matter what mood you may be in "For Ordinary People Like Me" will have a short story, poem, or riddle for you..I founf myself relating to the author on each and ever page. would definately reccomend this book. particularly liked "The Life Of Choices I Didn't Make" Two thumbs up!
Down To Earth But Eloquent Jul 10, 2006 Ed Frasier has written a book that is exquisite. At the same time his poetry is down to earth but eloquent. The title of his book "For Ordinary People Like Me" is very appropriate.
One of his poems named "Price Check" made me smile even laugh a little. Anyone who has shopped has, at one time or other, been in the situation of moving from one line to another to get out quicker and then hearing the infamous words "price check." "Ode To Tanner" is another poem that anyone, who has had a pet and it passed on, will once again feel the emotions of its passing.
My personal favorites are his poems about ducks; there is just something about these creatures of God that I just love. Ed with his great words describes in detail these critters from the time that they were newly hatched, learning to fly and when they left the pond. The four poems that describe each event are indeed enjoyable to read.
One of his most thoughtful and a poem to ponder is "One Life." It is a short poem but gives you plenty of food for thought - a short poem but with a powerful theme.
Anyone who reads this book will find something that they have experienced in their own life. I recommend this book of poetry by Ed Frasier to anyone who is an ordinary person.
