4Enjoyable Action/Romance  Aug 08, 2007
By beebee0120 "beebee0120"
I wasn't expecting to like Forgive Me My Love, but I did. It's the story of a BAP(Black American Princess) named Rachel, who's kidnapped for a sizeable amount of money, as well as revenge. Funny thing happens along the way though, she falls in love with Nick, one of her captors. During their time together they bond, and soon the captor, along with Rachel becomes the prey. He's not really her captor, but she's unaware of this at first. In fact, throughout the book, he's consistantly having to risk his own life for that of hers.

Nick and Rachel want to be together, but because of circumstances beyond their control, cannot. So they spend a lot of time trying to pretend they don't love each other, but as proven throughout the story, they fail miserably at convincing themselves as well as each other of this. In fact, there were some pretty far fetched and inexplicable incidences that occurred because of their denial of their true feelings for one another. But, I guess that's what makes good "fiction".

There are just a few negatives aspects to the story. They include: the heroine reminding me somewhat of the character, Pauline from the movie "Perils of Pauline", only because Rachel kept having to be rescued(I personally enjoy seeing the female being rescued); there are a few violent scenes in the book for those who are somewhat skiddish(This reader had no problem with it); and if you're anal about errors, be prepared because I did find a little more than a few. I honestly don't feel they're enough to interfere with the reader's enjoyment of the story however.

Forgive Me My Love is truly filled with my two favorite ingredients, action and romance. I enjoyed this story so much that I've already ordered the next book from this author.

5A Huge Passionate Read  Mar 14, 2008
By P. Callen "Book Dweller"
I really enjoyed this book, it was a big read literally but it was so full of passion and romance that you could not help but be caught up in the drama and love unfolding between Rachel and Nick. I really loved the main character's. Most of the tension was great between Nick and Rachel and it made their passion so strong and wonderful. But near the end it fell a little short because I think the author dragged on too long especially with Rachel's father who was determined to an extreme to destroy Nick and Rachel's bond. Rachel was also too stubborn near the end that it was hard to feel any empathy for her. Rachel's actions near the end were immature and silly considering what she and Nick had been through together. But not to worry because love does prevail and these two have a very special reason to work it out. There is really great backstory charactrers that make this read even more exciting, most interesting is Nick's family and its connection to Rachel's family. I would recommend this book for people who really enjoy hot sexy interracial romance with a broad mixture of drama and violence. Worth checking out,it may seem hefty in price but it has all the qualities of a hardcover.Enjoy!

5Excellent, what a novel!  Aug 19, 2007
By Carley Posts "Romantic Heart"
I liked it from beginning to end. It was kind of slow at first, but it more than made up for that. I loved this book. And it's so big, the editing is better too. I only found two errors. This book ROCK's it's as close to erotic as you can get without going all the way.
