The mayor-sheriff of Santa Fe, ordered the Captain of the Guard and two soldiers to go over to the EI Burro Cantina and bring Blackie Parsin in for questioning. The captain and his men did not know that Blackie was going to be ready for them, thanks to a clerk in the alcalde's office who sped over to warn Blackie they were coming for him.
