A Wholesome Delight May 22, 2008
By Elrond A definite favorite so far with my daughters, Frontier Ruby's story moves along quickly and has some very memorable characters and moments. There is depth, humor and emotional pull. The realistic story sweeps you along with Ruby and really makes you care about her as she faces challenges and foes, and does find friends that she can depend on. There is a little of a `Jane Eyre' motif in there. This one is more drama but there are plenty of fun moments too. Frontier Ruby and her story seem perfect for a musical play. A delightfully wholesome and romantic story for virtuous women of any age, especially those who are prone to already enjoy classic literature.

Ruby is a Gem Mar 17, 2008
By J. Austen Fan I've really enjoyed reading this author's work. Many of the novels written today are predictable and follow overused formulas. Like Kerri Bennett Williamson's other books, Frontier Ruby always keeps you wondering what will happen next. She is a great heroine that I found myself cheering for. The characters in this book are interesting in that you think you know them and then you discover, not all is as it seems. It's another great read!

To take a Chance Sep 04, 2009
By Ruth Thompson
"Weaver of Tales"
Ruby's past has built her character and she is strong. She came from an orphanage where she experienced abuse and was forced to be an unpaid servant. However there comes an opportunity to be a governess to some loving children. Here she is happy with her life of teaching, loving, and nurturing other's children. Could she possibility take the chance of finding a fulfilling life for Ruby Steed? The author keeps the story moving with several interesting characters. By Ruth Thompson author of "Natchez Above The River" and "The Bluegrass Dream"
