This book is easy to understand. Very well written. As the title says, Golf Rules Made Easy. Easy to read and easy to understand.

FIVE STARS!!! BEST GOLF RULES BOOK FOR 2008-2009 Oct 07, 2008
FIVE STARS!!! I bought two of these books. I gave one to my golf coach. He said this was the best golf rules book he had come across in his 20 years of teaching golf. I put this book in my golf bag after studying it for a few hours, and I now have more confidence out on the golf course, playing tournaments. This book includes how to mark your ball when dropping from a cart path, water hazards, lateral hazards. The "What-if" Chapter and the "Name the Rule" section at the end of the book enables you to test your knowledge. "GOLF RULES MADE EASY 2008-2009" is absolutely the best book to learn the Rules of Golf. By the way, this book INCLUDES ALL THE LATEST CHANGES TO THE RULES OF GOLF that have been made in 2008.

I purchased this book based on the very favorable reviews. Upon receipt, I was immediately disappointed in that it is a small, 8" x 5¼" paperback, containing a mere 100 pages of large print. At the discounted price of $16.55, it is expensive. However, it has a very readable style and its organization of the rules into two categories, Preparing to Play and Playing the Game, is a good approach. Unfortunately, there are errors. The water hazard section discusses only the drop options and fails to mention that one can also play the ball from within the hazard without penalty. In regards to the lateral water hazard, two additional options have been omitted. Given the frequency with which one encounters water hazards and lateral water hazards, Rule 26 should have been covered in more detail. As an entry level rules book, based on its readability and understandable style, I give it 3½ - 4 stars. But overall, given the omissions, errors and price, 2 stars is the best I can give.

Golf Rules Made Easy 2008 -2009 Aug 01, 2008
An entertaining and "fun" way to really get a handle on the 28 Golf Rules of Stroke Play. I enjoyed the "What Ifs" which state both the situation,the correct way to proceed, and the Rule which is applicable. In all my years playing the game,this is the first book I have seen that with just a "little study" allows you to have a "command" of the rules. I really enjoy watching the PGA Tour to see if the pros know as much as I do.
