building vocabulary Apr 22, 2009
By C. J. Munch I love the words in this book. The preschoolers that I teach greatly enjoy the sounds and meanings of new vocabulary such as "scuttle by". They are now wishing everything and everyone a good-night as they settle down to nap time.

By J Elk This book has a strong appeal to a young child. The language flows in a rhythmic poetic style. The choice of vocabulary is both familiar and enriching. It begins to teach a young child animals and their habitats. The art work is soothing and appropriate for a bedtime story.

A beautiful, soothing bedtime story Aug 09, 2005
By A. A. Lewis-Bowen We read this book every night before bed. The gentle prose quiets our daughter, and she loves pointing out the animals: the "bugs scuttling by" and the "birds folded into trees" - The artwork is gorgeous. This is a special book to keep and enjoy at all ages.
