Heartwarming story Jan 18, 2012
By RP Dahlke
"TheDeadRed_&Sailing_mysteries"
After his mother is murdered in his presence, thirteen year old David is deeply traumatized and sees no hope or help but to hide out in the woods near their home in Vermont. That he escapes notice of the locals may have more to do with the fact that this is a community that specializes in minding its own business. David manages to stay hidden for the next five years, living on his wits and sheer determination. But when the Bradley's and their children move into the neighborhood near his old home, life forever changes for David.
This is suspense as well as a heartwarming story of a boy lost and the family who've come to live temporarily in the close-knit society of Vermont and help David recover his life. Recommended for the whole family and an enjoyable read for any age.

A Wonderful Mystery May 16, 2006
By R. C. Compitello
"RC"
This was the first book of Myrna Ericksen's that I read which prompted me to read more. The story engaged me, moved quickly and I longed to get to each new chapter to unfold the mystery. The descriptions of the Vermont hills, the various landmarks and the characters were vivid and allowed me to place myself there with them. The author relates the experiences and personalities of each of her characters with great depth and weaves in a spiritual element that is heartwarming
