Great to read a book set in Sacramento Oct 07, 2009
By W. Lorentzen Yes, I loved it. Story lines were intertwined but not confusing, characters were well defined and memorable, and chapters were well written while sparing unnecessary details. You won't find any irrelevant filler text in this book. The story leaves an impression of imagery and the ending is epic. Being from Sacramento, I really enjoyed being immersed into the plot with familiar surroundings - this is a must read for Sacramentans.
Halcyon: Raised by God Never Told to Lay Down Sep 30, 2009
By Deborah J. Ranes Hi,
I just finished reading Halcyon: Raised by God Never Told to Lay Down.
I found it creative, exciting, and fast-paced. It really combined a lot of cultures with a touch of humor. The author knew how to keep you guessing and I look forward to reading more about Halcyon should there be a sequal. I hope so!!!

"avid reader"
This book is riveting. I had a hard time putting it down. It keeps you glued to your seat and moves at a brisk pace with never a dull moment. One of the best books of its kind. Dan Brown watch out. You have competition.
