A true masterpiece of steel knowledge! Sep 16, 2009
By Erin Casson When I discovered this book I leapt for joy at the oodles and oodles of detailed information in an easy to read format on one of my favorite subjects of all time: Steel and Metallurgy and Cutlery.
The author gets deeply into the world of steel and iron work from the most ancient of times until the modern cutting edge. He even includes information on nanotechnology and nanophase metals and the fact that it has now been proven that the famous "Damascus Steel" received its legendary cutting power from the inclusion of molecular fullerene nanotube and buckyball structures wrapped into the iron matrix. I would encourage anyone interested in these subjects even remotely to buy this book.
