5Great Read  Jun 30, 2007
By David Emanatian
A great book. A real page-turner. Addictive. Each page made me want to linger and savor what I just read, while making me anxious to go to the next. It summoned up all kinds of images, good and bad. I've never read a style like Mr. Burnstein's. It's like he's talking to you, and only to you, yet his message is appealing and universal. It crept up on me and took me by suprise. Do I need to say, I loved it! Thanks, Mr. B.

5Please make this into a movie!  Oct 03, 2011
By Charles R. Stewart III
I think this book would make a great movie, right up there with "Apocalypo" and "The Last Temptation of Christ". Burnstein's writing style reminds me of Prescott's "The Conquest of Mexico" and "The Conquest of Peru". This would be a good project for Steven Spielberg...

1Pure garbage  Sep 23, 2008

A sub literate nightmare--poorly written by someone who should never quit his day job. Trash.
