Has Anyone Seen My Reading Glasses?: The Humorous and Slightly Informative Chronicles of a Retired Baby Boomer

Has Anyone Seen My Reading Glasses? offers a unique and fresh approach to the subject of Baby Boomer retirement. First, it's written by a Baby Boomer who is actually retired. Second, the book is long on humor and personal anecdotes, and short on statistical analysis. In the book, Pat covers topics that are not normally seen in the table of contents of most retirement books, such as Timesharing, Cruising, and the Women's perspective of Baby Boomer retirement. No matter how serious the subject matter, like Financial Strategy, or Long Term Care Insurance, Pat's goal is to simultaneously educate and entertain his audience.

5This book should be renamed "The Practical and Down to Earth Guide to Retirement"  Jun 04, 2006
By Johnny Bott
Very humorous, informative and most of all down to earth advice on retiring !.I almost felt as if Mr.Paciello was sitting in my living room as I enjoyed reading the conversational tonality of the book. This no nonsense approach to retirement is not found in many of the books on the subject today, therefore making it not only an easy read but also an easy to implement guide to use in pre-retirement life planning. Job well done ! I will use many of his tips, suggestions and advice as I move closer to my day in the sun!.

5Mr Paciello Hits a Grandslam Homerun  Jun 11, 2006
By R. Ninger "golf buddy"
In his very first writing endeavor, Mr Paciello has written what we all are feeling as we Babyboomers reach middle-age. The stories are priceless and the advice is insightful, which makes for a very easy read. I have recommended this book to family and friends, and hope there is another book floating around this talented writer's head. If not, Iguess there is always golf.

A hilarious romp through retirement! Mr. Paciello has a keen wit and shares some insightful tips with regard to planning for retirement. His anecdotal style and sense of humor are delightful, and make for a quick read. I'd love to hang out with this guy!

4Delivered What He Promised  Jun 08, 2006
By Lucille Z
The author of Has Anyone Seen My Reading Glasses? delivered what he promised: a humorous, informative journey through his early years of retirement. I found myself smiling and often chuckling out loud at his funny stories, comments, and asides about an inevitable upcoming life change for those of us who are 50 plus. Pat Paciello's approach to the subject of retirement resulted in a researched, enjoyable read that incorporates his own personal experiences during this phase of his life and soon to be ours. I made note of the many sound tips he offers for a painless transition into retirement. For someone who jokingly claims that he does nothing, but does it well, this modest first-time author did this well.

5Fantastic Retirement Book  Jun 07, 2006
By A. Stichter "X Factor"
This is a great book for the "50 something" boomer that has retired or has expectations of doing so. It is an excellent read for the millions of boomers that went through the 70's 80's and 90's. There are a number of "laugh out loud" stories about Mr. Paciello's early days in college that almost every red blooded, partying man can relate to. The best part of the book is that it provides a primer on retirement from a "regular" person who has made some of the mistakes we are all probably about to make! Great Read and a MUST for Fathers Day! Totally enjoyed it!
